On this excursion, we will visit a lava tube and then, aboard powerful Unimog 4×4 vehicles on the northern slope of Mount Etna, climb comfortably to an altitude of 2,900 metres in the area of the Etna Volcanological Observatory. From this altitude, Mount Etna will reveal its beauty in the most irresistible way.
We invite you to join our guides on a walk among lava flows and crater depths, with the smoking peaks of the volcano and the eye lost in the sea. Our excursion will follow the path of the 2002 eruption that destroyed the Piano Provenzana square, the ski facilities and the famous Hotel “Le Betulle”. We will cross ancient and recent lava fields and wooded areas of rare beauty.
